Rochelle Hall has worked with families and children in multiple capacities for twenty years. A Marriage Family Therapist Intern (MFTI), she received her Master of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology from John F. Kennedy University with a specialization in Expressive Arts Therapy, and holds a Bachelor's Degree from UC Berkeley in Philosophy. Her work as a narrative therapist incorporates years of experience as a school counselor and art teacher -- as well as earlier work as a journalist and as a parent in parent-participation school settings. Rochelle has been working as an elementary and middle school counselor for the last three years. She incorporates the breadth of her work experience in her current job as a counselor for individuals and families from diverse backgrounds.
Rochelle has known Amberlin as a teacher and colleague since she began studying narrative therapy. She continues to participate in trainings and panel presentations, and looks forward to joining Amberlin in a practice which highly prioritizes clients' values and needs. She greatly appreciates the collaborative, respectful nature of narrative therapy, and views therapy as an opportunity for young people and adults to explore and enrich their sense of themselves as valued members of community and family. She has found narrative conversation to provide a powerful, evocative vehicle which supports people of all ages in participating meaningfully in the world.
